In the KBO League, which began in 1982, there have been a total of 37 instances of all starting batters striking out.

On July 24, 1986, 'national treasure pitcher' Seon Dong-yeol first achieved this record against the Binggrae Eagles, and on August 20 last year, William Cuevas (kt) became the 36th starting pitcher to strike out all batters in a game against the Hanwha Eagles.

Among pitchers who had pitched more than 80 innings before the game that day, 'Doctor K' Anderson, who recorded the highest strikeout rate per 9 innings at 12.80 (118 strikeouts in 83 innings), became the first starting pitcher to strike out all batters this season.
